Our Position

We comply with valid DMCA notices. We challenge claims filed without proper authority or that misstate platform IP ownership. Affiliates using official APIs/embeds for licensed content are not infringing; we document and counter when appropriate.

How We Handle Notices

  1. Verify authority: Does the sender own the rights or represent the owner?
  2. Check license scope: Platform terms often assign content rights to the platform, not individual performers.
  3. Assess fair/authorized use: Official API/embed ≠ copying/hosting.
  4. Respond: Remove where required or file a counter-notice when the claim is improper.
  5. Publish: Log details in the Abuse Ledger for transparency.

Counter-Notice Policy

When a claim lacks standing or misrepresents ownership, we prepare a counter-notice that includes our contact information, jurisdictional consent, and a statement under penalty of perjury. We only counter when we're confident the use is authorized or non-infringing.
